Keeping Campaign Promises
Today on NPR's Morning Edition, they examined Bush's address accepting the 2000 Republican nomination for president, and his record on keeping the promises made in that speech. Specifically, they pulled out four issues:
reforming education reforming Medicare 'giving the surplus back to the taxpayers' reforming Social Security
How did he do? Listen to the audio (Windows Media Player required) and find out.
I'll give you a hint - of the four, one was obviously fulfilled too well, which means the other three pretty much went out the window.
Bush should be grateful NPR didn't mention his promise of a 'humble' foreign policy.
